Sounds good, but I don’t have a way to make HD or Blu Ray anything.
There’s a VHS of It Was My Best Birthday Ever, Charlie Brown sitting in a clamshell case for sale at a local used movie/book store in my area. They also have Pied Piper VHS in a clamshell case for sale. (At least they were there when I visited this past week.) I didn’t have my list of what I still needed on my phone, so I didn’t buy them at the time…
I have a Mitsubishi S-VHS VCR and the means to transfer the Birthday VHS to a DVD-R on a stand-alone DVD recorder/player. Or I could import it via firewire to a PC’s hard drive. Whether I have the technical skill to do the capture with as much quality as possible is another matter.
UPDATE: Got 'em both just now. 95 cents for Pied Piper and $3.95 for Best Birthday Ever.
I assume this would potentially be of better quality than a Video CD version of Birthday you mentioned?
I don’t know, I just figured since it was digital already, it would be better than VHS. Here’s a 2 min sample so maybe you can tell me how it compares when you get your VHS.
