I don’t generally drink because the other half regularly binge drinks to the point of being annoying and possibly dangerous. When I do get to drink my tolerance is so low because of my long spells of abstinence that I physically can’t drink that much anyway. I was on a bus from Stirling to Edinburgh the other day and there were three drunk people so drunk and disruptive that I found it very uncomfortable to be there.
I haven’t been sober for longer than a few hours for going on 2 years now. 6 years if you count being high.

I can’t even begin to understand your motivations and what it does for you because I don’t drink. I never got a taste for it and none of my family really drink. I’m not anti-booze or morally superior or anything, I just think it’s gross.
I know I’m new to posting here but you lot aren’t new to me! I’ve been reading you for many years and I want you to all be happy because you, with the obvious notable exceptions, seem like good people. I just worry when I hear you talking about doing harmful things when you’ve got the option not to (if that makes sense.)

Glad you don’t drink. I’ve been sober since March 5th. But last weekend I bought 2 Crystal Heads with the idea of crashing and burning. But somehow I stopped short. I didn’t even open them. They’re still sitting in the corner. It’s not that I’m not tempted. It’s more that I hate myself too much to give me such an easy out. I’d rather keep them there. Tormenting me. Wonderful stuff.
Anyway. Don’t drink. Don’t start. It’s hell.

I can’t even drink beer anymore. I’ve just drank SO… MUCH… beer in the past few years that by the time I finish one I’m ready to puke. And I can’t get drunk that way. Wine is the mildest thing I can get drunk on anymore.
I’m not a fan of wine. But I’ve also had some unintentionally bad experiences with it.
I never drink to get drunk because it’s the worst feeling in the world.

I did my fair share of partying when I was younger. Now, I have A drink during Christmas and Easter, with my meal. I haven’t smoked any pot since well before my daughter was born. I like natural highs now. They are much more inspirational and heart warming than anything drug induced, aside from great sex with the one you love, of course.
I should really work on my master’s thesis but I have absolutely no motivation.

I’ve been active here for a month. 109 posts so far but no accidental double posts and not one mark down syntax error. Seeing others make those posts, sometimes twice in a row, is what inspired my username and I’m actually beginning to feel a bit left out.
