Fortunately, the Lowry process seems to have had a harder time scrubbing away grain than it did scrubbing away starfields. Or maybe that’s unfortunately.
Actually, there’s tons of fake grain added on top of the 2004 master.

The same excessive noise that is all over the image actually overlaps into the black bars.
