Longtime lurker here chiming in. I love Adywan’s ‘Revisited’ work. I know this thread is “unofficial,” but I did want to chime in an idea here. I recently released my own fanedit of Return of the Jedi (read the thread about it here) and played around with a lot of different ideas.

It is officially Star Wars canon that Anakin disappears into the Force (a la Obi-Wan and Yoda), although it happens off-screen. Just a thought.
Some fine work to be sure, but…
Having Anakin’s body vanish right after death completely spoils the later reveal that he has ascended to being a force ghost. His ghost appearing was clearly meant to be a big moment for the audience and should always be the first indicator that he’s made it to “the other side”. Otherwise we’ve already had our visual cue that he’s made it and it diminishes the impact. Showing the ghost after just becomes a redundant moment and no longer a surprise.
