Let me preface this by saying,

I was there in 1977. So that speaks to my age.

I'm a prequel sympathizer. I enjoy them all, but at my current age I also have some minor qualms with all 6 of the movies.

So now to the new trailer..

IT SUCKED! Too much rehash from the teasers and not enough of what made the previous 6 trailers great. I get that this isn't the film, but the trailer should give us some idea what the movie is about. I got none of that from this trailer. It's an extended teaser as far as I'm concerned. There needs to be more dialogue for one, or at least a voice over narrative to take us through the general points of the film.

The film may or may not suck, but the trailer did not serve it's purpose as far as I'm concerned.

This is the first time as a Star Wars fan I've been underwhelmed by a Star Wars trailer. And hopefully, the last.

I completely disagree. Why would I need them to spoil everything with dialogue that ruins all the plot points for me? Trailers give away too much as it is. I don't need it to be narrated. I like trailers like this far better. Nothing is worse than trailers packed with dialogue scenes that tell us everything that happens in the movie.
