I hope chromesteel uploads it. This looks really interesting. It seems he kept a lot of stuff, but still managed to keep it under 3 hours. I wonder if he cut Grievous. I saw him in the trailer, but I don't know how ROTS could be an hour with him still in it.

Grevious is IN but he now does NOT not have asthma :)

He also excapes quicker now, to build more of a cowardice to his character (rather than making him weak with cancer....)

chromesteel, any idea when (and where) this edit will be available for download? i can't wait to make a night of this...

Yes, I think many of us are wondering this.

Perhaps you are still tweaking things? Or, I saw you mentioned a premiere on Facebook. Probably holding off until after that to release it online?

 Hello all!

I have been having troubles getting it online. Womp womp...

Another member is getting me up and running to get this out to you guys, hopefully......... TONIGHT! Booyaksha!

I'll post on here when it's ready, I can't wait for ALL your notes and comments, I can revisit the edit and make it perfect, because this is for all of you guys :) <3

Huge fan of hal9000's and l8wrtr's prequel edits, but definitely would love to give a "one and done" edit a shot. Sounds interesting.

I'm helping Chromesteel get his edit out there. Will be available very soon! Watch this space...

Dude, don't you know it's rude to talk about your spleen in public?

My understanding is that this rule is antiquated and this is not the case at all anymore, as long as you're not providing direct links.

Is that not correct? I just assumed that at some point it was realized that being almost sneaky about it was the same thing as just saying myspleen/tehparadox.

I'm having issues with my bodypart, so I've submitted to .info

Should appear in due course!

 Thanks!

btw: your bodypart seems to be working up and running as far as I can tell.

My wife would like to have a word with you....

Nope, I gave up on the spleen. Chromesteel already has it hosted on a file sharing site (PM me if you want the direct link), so .info was the easier option anyway.

Grabbing this now. I really suggest staying away from the term "revisited" though.

Point taken. Chromesteel - would you consider a change of name?

I would love a name change!

Originally it was just Star Wars Prequels (2015)

But I was told the title couldn't sound legitimate, meaning sounds like it was created by lucasfilm/Disney.

I'm open to all suggesting :)

Bare in mind, if you change the name of the edit you will need to re-upload it.

At this point, I think we're out of clever names. I would just it "The ChromeSteel Edit"

initial feedback from my first skim is that it is a breath of fresh air to see a new approach, particularly the beginning, the transitions between episodes (transitions and fonts used for the '2 years later"), the removal of jar-jar (especially)

with that said, the end is always something i skip forward to when checking out a new prequel edit... i thought HanShotFirst's "Downfall of the Old Republic" had a really well edited obi-wan/anakin fight, particularly the very end (omitting the lava-raft fighting and the anakin's last jump were really well done)... L8twrtr's 'Dawn of the Empire' edit had a really well edited Vader Birth/Padme Death scene in my opinion...although i would love to see the full 'Vader on the operating table rising and then speaking to Palpatine' scene.. perhaps with altered dialogue and definitely no 'noooo' :)

... although i understand the approach in your edit, i feel like as it currently stands, the edits at the end are a bit choppy and jarring.. the audio is all over the place and there is too much back and forth. with a bit more work, i think this edit has A LOT of potential.. very exciting and the work is much appreciated. I will give it a closer watch tonight and get you some more constructive feedback.. :)

Just finished watching the TPM part of the edit.  Here are my initial comments/suggestions:

The lack of an opening crawl and theme, although not a deal-breaker, feels a little odd.  However, you can piece-together the set-up from the dialogue and the pacing of the first scenes is very good.

I like the use of tags to identify locations/time periods.  However, the first tag states '32 BBY (Battle Before Yavin)'.  I would suggest this should instead say '32 Years BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin)'.

The removal of Jar Jar is largely successful.  However, he (or at least parts of him) is still visible during the scenes in Anakin's home on Tatooine.  And there is fuzziness in some shots, due to cropping of the image.

Although all references to midichlorians have been left in, the 'chosen one' sub-plot has been removed (thankfully).

A random Naboo pilot destroys the droid control ship. I think I prefer the idea of Anakin deliberately destroying the ship - it gives him more of a purpose during the climax (Just my personal preference).

When I get more time, I will watch the remainder of the edit.  So far, I'm enjoyng the pacing of the edit and many of the cuts are well chosen.

It's interesting how one completely off-topic post means I am interested in the edit and want the links...

I got the link from a PM, which I could give you, but I don't know if chromesteel wants others distributing his work. I'd just ask him through PM.

Clever cover image by the way.
