That's an interesting idea. Anakin's upbringing does have some other details I've seen (abusive father), but it does have enough originality to keep me invested. It's not too different then someone famous having their name changed to make it more catchy.
If you read The Fall, the Jedi are basically given a new name after becoming a Knight. It's just another thing I like about this.
