Unfortunately there is no way to get it off the DVR's HD without breaking the warranty seal (it's a rental only deal) and everything on it is encoded in HDCP.
There are HDMI splitters that filter HDCP and will allow recording. Most people have used them to record PS3's, but this is about the most perfect example of a time when these would be useful.

You would of course need an HDMI capture card as well.
