I owe it to all the people that downloaded it, as it was not perfect; hope this time will be, though! (^^,)

It's in the "project drawer" along with (too) many others; I must finish to re-encode few projects, but it's still in the top list and, as it's almost finished, I hope to release it ASAP...

According to Blu-ray.com, they are not available on blu-ray format, but maybe there are foreign versions... I was thinking to do Candyman, then I discovered that an italian bd exists... further investigations are needed.

Both UK and US BD's have faults but i'm wondering if there is any middle ground

bigrob, if you think about using the DE color grading applied to the US most detailed image, I think it could be possible to do it; stereo soundtrack could be added, too; is the laserdisc track the theatrical version?

I presume the Laserdisc has the stereo soundtrack. I never owned it on Laserdisc but i've owned multiple DVD copies

the R1 Image DVD had a Dolby Digital 2.0 dual mono soundtrack and the UK editions has Stereo but all editions in the UK suffer from incorrect pitched audio due to PAL conversion (even the UK BD)

the more recent editions only have 5.1 though

It is not possible to merge the US and DE BDs, as they are not pixel identical... however, is it possible to merge their respective color grading, using the US luma, as it has more details and its image size is larger; I did a fast test, and it's possible to raise a bit the brightness of the US BD, as there blacks are not crushed.

Ghostbusters 1 & 2: color grading difference between versions is quite noticeable, but... which is the "right" one? I must admit I prefer the 1999 DVD one, probably just because nostalgia...

Nightmare: agree, the BD has crushed black, and, even if color grading seems more natural, still prefer the DVD, don't know if for the same reason!

Spoiler: GB2 is almost ready, I need some time to finish current projects, so can't say when it will be released...

What do you have planned for GB2 Andrea? The black crush on the 2014 blu-ray does look bad in those comparison pics, particularly the one in the sewer with the pink slime...
