Hi!

Since Video-Recorder were available in eastern Europe, they made fake dubbings, where one guy or girl spoke all voices in a kind of a voice-over, while you could hear the original sound/voice or the german dubbing.

In Hungary most of them where university teachers, because they must have the ability to translate it by themselves. Most of them made it for fun, to be the first in the country watching the best movies, some did it for the money.

Such a “Bootleg Dubbing” was made in Hungary to the first or second UK VHS-Edition of the Trilogy in late 80s, three official proffesional dubbings to each of them where made 1993,1995, 1997. The '97 Version is also find on the Blu Ray.

On Internet only a VHS-rip of “Return of the Jedi” is available in this “Hungarian Narrator”-Version, now I search the other two, to edit this funny bootleg dubbing to the official GOUT DVDs.

I also search a “Hungarian Narrator”-Version of “Ewoks: Caravan of Courage”, because there never existed an official dubbing to it, only to “Ewoks: The Battle for Endor” exists an official dubbing.

Here is an extract from Jedi:
