I agree 100% on this, lets make Disney know now how much the original Star Wars 1977-1983 is wanted by the public.

Here's the problem: Is it really wanted all that much? I mean, obviously it has a market with Star Wars fans (even Lucas gushers), but fandoms have proven repeatedly that they can't support releases all by themselves. It might pick up the non-fan film preservationists, but there's fewer of those than there are fans. There needs to be demand among the general public, and I just don't know if that exists. Whatever Lucas's hang-ups were about the OT, he obviously had an emotional perception of it. Disney won't. To Disney, it's just another product, and the inconvenient truth here is that the average consumer would be satisfied with the 2011 editions. And no, "re-educating" consumers is never going to happen, so don't bother.
