Info Wanted: JSC Questions

For ANH: Are V8, X9, and Dark/Sega all JSC captures? If so, are they 3 distinct captures of the JSC LD or is, for instance, Dark/Sega a touch-up of X9?

I did search for these answers, but I’d like to be 100% sure before moving on. Thanks!

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Dark/Sega and V8 DVD's are two different preservations of the japanese Special Collection LD, X9 found on the newsgroup is a raw capture of the JSC LD, so that is probably what you're looking for.

Also, the X9 capture was not the source for V8 and Dark/Sega DVD's.

We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

Sincerely, Lynne Hale publicity@lucasfilm.com

Wow, that's great! Thanks for the information.

I've wanted to experiment with TooT() (two-out-of-three) in AviSynth and I now have three different JSC sources to experiment with!

Looks like I'll have to IVTC X9 first...

Are there any other JSC captures floating around?

Hi AntcuFaalb! My guess is a TooT() with two average captures and one good captures will lead to an average quality result, but i am open for being wrong on this. :)

You're probably right, but I'm just experimenting anyway :-)
