You know, I just watched Ady's latest clip on his home page and thought, wouldn't it be funny if someone could edit Admiral Ackbar's head overtop Leia's?

I have no freaking idea why, but Hotmail has all of a sudden started throwing all my emails from jay@originaltrilogy.com in my junk folder. And no matter how many settings I fiddle with and mark each one as 'not junk', they still go there.

I will be pissed off if Microsoft make me miss any important updates, or worse, the actual release!

Just a brief update:

I move into the new house on Monday and will take a month or so get everything sorted to enable me to continue working on ESB:R. Once all that is done work should progress a lot quicker, now i have a lot more room, so we should still be on track for a 2012 release date. Thanks to everyone for being so patient

So I guess this means a December release?

Neat! 2012 is awesome! It's my favourite year at the moment.

Enjoy the new house. Hope all goes well.

I hate unpacking. I moved into a new house almost 2 years ago and there's still things I haven't unpacked... Maybe I have too much stuff.

At this point, the only guaranteed release date is "eventually".

It'll be done when it's done, not before.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

These are very ambitious projects, taking on these films. I'll give him that. But can he get all six done in the next ten years or so?

I wish he did the Prequels first, because if anything needs to be fixed, it's those films.

If he's still on track for a 2012 release date, and still hasn't given a specific release day or month, a December release IMO seems very plausible, and not a "It'll be done when it's done". Weather or not it's December, this seems like Ady is pretty sure about about releasing ESB:R late this year, and Ady loves to release things around Xmas time.

Couldn't disagree more. Thank god he did the OT first. Those are the only ones I really care about.

Plus, adywan will need all the skills he's learning working on OT:Revisited if he has any hope of transforming the prequels into good films.

Thanks for the update L0conut.:-) Keeping track for each update Mr Adrian is doing in all sites is a heavy task. Thanks to all the people here who are helping Mr Ady to succeed!

No problem. I, as much as the next guy, like being informed. :)

That's true. He's going to need all the experience he can get. I'm just curious to see how he's going to handle the Prequels, and hope he doesn't lose interest by the time he finishes the OT.

I'm not sure what he plans to edit out, but he did say he will fix many of the things that don't work in the films - one being the Neimoidians' and Gungans' voices. I can't wait to see what he does with the rest. I just hope it doesn't take a long time, but I guess beggars can't be choosey. Lol.

If I had to guess, I'd say that it IS going to take a long time. Remember, many people consider ESB a near-perfect film, and yet look how long ESB:R is taking. Then consider the fact that Ady will probably want to take a much-deserved break once he's finally finished with it (and will most likely do the same after each film he completes), the fact that the he's still got ROTJ:R ahead of him (an even bigger challenge, I'd say), and the HD version of ANH:R after that. Then, finally, consider that Ady has said that the PT edits will be even more extensive than those of the OT and that he hopes to make them almost unrecognizable. In other, they're going to take a LOT of work. I know the phrase "you get what you pay for" doesn't exactly fit here, but I'll offer an alternative: "you get what you wait for"; after all, good things come to those who wait, right? We've got to be patient.

One thing that might help with the rest of the revisited projects is the fact that all of the video sources for RotJ and the PT will be available from the start. Remember that Ady got the hdtv source right near the end of completing ANH:R, and the Bluray source was released halfway through ESB:R. Should shave off a few months :)

Someone (doubleohfive?) should run the math of how long Ady has spent actually working on the film vs. how much time he's had to put it aside because life interfered (dad, housing, computer problems, etc.)  Not that he should have ignored any of the bigger real world issues, but it would give a little better perspective of how much work has gone into it so far.

I wouldn't view it as "how much work has gone into it"... though, the use of time actively working on it might be a good projection for how long the other edits take. But ultimately, a little piece of me hopes simultaneously that it will all be done asap, and that it never ends. I love having something to look forward to, especially something as amazing as this...
