I'd like to echo Comp's sentiments. As usual, a fantastic job and greatly appreciated.

I still cannot send any private messages. It would be nice if this could be repaired.

Nothing about fanediting is easy.

Whoa, its Boon. I didn't even know he came around here anymore.

Thanks for the compliments. Moth3r and I will do our best to address everyone's concerns.

A big thanks to Moth3r for taking the reins on relocating all the fan project topics to their appropriate forums. I haven't contributed squat to that endeavor yet :)

Also, the site has been moved to a new server, so the avatar/photo upload functionality has been enabled. The nice thing now is that you don't need to resize your images prior to uploading; the software does it for you. The aspect ratio is maintained and borders are added to the top or bottom to fill in the blank space.

I appreciate the upgrade, but a couple things seem to have made it harder to keep up with threads. As already mentioned, it would be nice to have an option to disable the poster avatars and icons in the thread index. The avatars  are distracting and don't tell anything about the thread (as opposed to thumbnails relevant to the post or project) and their size means less threads listed per screen. Also, forums and threads with new unread posts used to be in a bold font, but now all the threads seem to be the same non-bold font, regardless of whether or not there have been new posts.

I still see threads with unread posts in a bold font.

I think bold means there's new posts since the last time you came to the forums, whereas the "unread posts" link under the thread title means there's still stuff in that thread you haven't read regardless of whether there's anything new from the last time you were here.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

Looks ok overall. I'm glad to see the light gray / dark gray / blue colors have been kept, as they have always looked great. :) But the forum subject categories ( "Star Wars Fan Edits and Preservation Efforts", etc. ), where you can see all the thread topics, look cluttered with all those avatars stuck on the left side, it would look a lot neater and cleaner if avatars were left inside threads only.

I'm glad the colors are the same too. Still looks good and everything is easy to read. :) And don't forget that Jay mentioned he'll be adding the ability to turn avatars on and off separately for the topics and thread pages.

Jay: Any update on when this feature will be implemented? :)

The Star Wars trilogy. There can be only one.

Working on kind of a big site update right now, so not quite yet. Probably the next forum update after this one.
