Cue Toccata and Fugue!!!!! looks like Frankenstein is building his monster in there.

Forget the monsters!

The man himself is inside them. Count D(racula)ooku

Wow I forgot about that LOL. It is funny. One of his Co-Stars played Jerec in the Dark Forces 2 cutscenes. I think his name was Richard Neame or something to that effect.

A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. WRONG!!!!!!!! Were wanting to make dooku apear to be a good guy in the phantom menace. At that point in AOTC we know he is a bad guy. He reveals it to Obi Wan.

Not So ISF

Dooku (in my TMP edit) would be the Chancellors representative on the Jedi council, he would sense Sidious through the force as a bad guy,

In AotC he would indeed be a political idealist, and truly believes what he is saying to Obi wan (this would have to be edited to remove the sarcastic delivery of "oh no this is all a terrible mistake" (all references to "my master" would be gone along with the end sequence with sidious in the warehouse)

Then when Palps says "kill him" its no longer a betrayal between sith, but a complete bitch slap from the sith against the good guys (the separatists) that way it would help towards showing Palps to be more evil when he finally reveals his true intentions to Anakin. & bitch slaps the jedi as well with order 66.

I like the general idea of Castle Dooku but the background is a bit too cyan for my taste (a crumbling dank grey with a hint of blueish green would carry the idea a bit better).

It would be great if the lights flickered on and off like flame torches or candles and were a bit more amber than deep red.

If you added another one on the top you would get a trianglular formation which could translate subsonsciously as resembling a flame while still being a piece of technology.

I think it's a bit too cyan too. Then again: cyan-ish tinting has a proud history in silent films:

The cyan tones are in purpose strong to show that is more retro and alien like.

I dont agree with the torches because it make it uncivilized and very specific material as light source

This whole thing reminds me LOTR. I can assure you that wasnt my purpose. I discover it after i made the color changes :P

Im gonna suggest something now thats gonna blow ppl away i think, its either gonna be a good discussion or completely shot down lmao. How about we reedit anakins lightsaber to green for all of AOTC, that way luke and his father both changed colour at the end of the trilogy, luke on tatooine, anakin on grievous' ship lol gonna try and edit a pic from somewhere

Well I have been very busy with photoshop today. I love messing with this film a whole lot. Before anyone says that the outside shots are too undersaturated know this outside on a hot day it is not orange it actually very bright.

Brace yourself it is a little big.

I think that's pretty unnecessary myself, despite the fact it would add parallels between sagas (which I think there are plenty of already). My favourite idea on these boards so far is all the PT sabers being blue. It adds so much more weight to the moment when we see Luke fire up his saber in ROTJ for the first time.

Having said this, I've always loved having a full spectrum of colours to choose from in the games such as KOTOR :)

Also, nice job Eyeshotfirst! :)

Yeah, leave all the fancy lightsaber colors for the games - for the movies, it's blue & red, good & evil, until ROTJ.

Before the PT, I always felt that there was heavy symbolism in there - that the Jedi had been trying to take a "pure" good path and failed, while the Emperor and Vader had been taking the 100% evil path which, obviously, is never good.  But you need something in between to balance everything else out, and that's clearly what ROTJ was (should have been) about - Luke taking the "middle way," if you will.  I felt that Luke's victory symbolized a new era of Jedi that would follow Luke's "middle way" and become truly benevolent protectors of the New Republic.

Then the prequels showed up and the Jedi were ... um ... not like that at all.  Then AOTC came out and Mace fucking Windu had a purple lightsaber?  Really?  What the fuck is that shit?

Now I know, of course, that there was no symbolism to Luke's lightsaber color beyond "It shows up against a blue sky better than blue does."

I concur, to a degree, I still want to give Qui-Gon, Aayla, and Plo Koon yellow lightsabres, because they are different, also Aayla and Plo Koon are my favourite characters.

They are not different... They never speak in the movie at all. Doesnt matter if that is your favorites. you must pass it to the audience that these are doing something special (ayla and plo) Remember the viewer hasnt in mind the facts in EU crap neither why you put them yellow sabers in the first place. Now if you want to have some random dudes with rainbow sabers that i cant even see them at credits then be my guest :)

Here's the thing, my edit is mine, I'm not trying to satisfy anyone else.

True though that may be, by posting about it while you're making it, you're inviting opinions.  Don't close yourself off to something just because it's not the way you plan on doing it - you can miss some really good ideas that way.

I'm not trying to say that you have to take everyone's advice - far from it.  I'm just saying that if you don't want any advice, don't talk about your edit until it's done.

That said, Vaderios has a valid point, but at the same time, the significance of Luke's green lightsaber, or Mace Windu's purple one are never made even remotely clear in the movies, so I think it's fine - you're just going to have a lot of people thinking it was a pointless change that doesn't improve anything (an opinion I happen to agree with).  But if you feel it's necessary, by all means, go for it.

I dont see why the sabers all have to be blue and red. What about qui gon? I like to see a Blue/Green/DoubleRed fight. Not Blue/Blue/Red in the darth maul fight(granted it is colour corrected). To much blue would be annoying. I can understand removing the purple saber but making the only saber colour blue until ROTJ is to standard issue. Green and blue work just fine. I hope ady keeps the green magic. Sorry to hate on yalls ideas but what is wrong with the green goodness? No un-fanboy viewer is gonna care what symbolism the colours have. If darth vaders lightsaber was light green he would still be as evil and badass. And we would know it. Hell if I wasnt lazy I would make a fan edit were all of their sabers are orange and blurple.

Yes you are right, these two never explained to the movie.Just when you want to present two random characters, as different, that they only have significance to comics and novels, you have to chose wise your moves because you may lost the main protagonist/focus in each movie. I wouldnt mind Lucas had some more special action from some more popular jedi in geonosis arena, but as you notice, if you see the movies without anything around them Ayla and plo are random costumed aliens walking around.

Well according to more OT cannon less color is good. Besides TPM is like set the classes(blue apprentice green master) and the everyone followed as a cannon. I think always.

It worked on Dark Helmet right? :D

I think that some people will love rainbow sabres, and others won't, it's just a matter of choice, personally I'll be releasing mine both ways.

Great work, as usual, vaderios, I'm seriously looking at trying a full colour correction of TPM, before finishing TPS.
