I guess those 30 years were rough on Yoda.  After all, I'm sure 30 years makes a HUGE difference when you're at the end of a 900 year lifespan.  Same goes for the twenty years on Palpatine.  After his unfortunate incident with Windu, it left him grey and plastic looking.  Good thing after 20 years he looks less like plastic and got a tad bit of fleshtones, even if they were very pale tones at least they looked human.  And its a good thing that radioactive glow of his pupils died down a little.  Yep, nothing like 20 years to make such a huge difference on scar tissue.  Oh, and while we're at it, its a good thing that Chewbacca looks so completely different at 180 years old than what he does at 200 because that would totally screw up the consistency of the original 3 films.  Its a good thing they care about the details because otherwise some dude would have to come around in a few years and fix all those "not glaringly obvious" things that they didn't screw up.  Yep.  Good thing.
