I can't praise Star Wars: Revisited enough! It's the most amazing thing I've ever seen. If anyone out there needs a copy of the DVD-9 version, I'll be more than happy to help out.

Don't use Winrar to unpack any ISO's. This can cause problems with the structure for some reason. Just use Daemontools (just google it, its free) to mount the image then you can drag all the folder in the Iso to your hard drive

Okay, I've re-downloaded STAR_WARS_REVISITED_NTSC_DVD_9.ISO (7.78 gb) and VIDEO_TS_files_fixed.rar (128 kb), and installed Daemon tools (I'm not too familiar with the program but it was pretty easy to "mount the ISO image" and play it like a DVD through PowerDVD, and there were no hiccups or glitches of any kind).

Would you please take me step by step through the process of burning it properly?

Before I create another hiccuping DVD that won't play on anything besides my PC... ;P

Use ImgBurn

Ady has given a fairly comprehensive explanation of its usage earlier in the thread...

Where could I get the VIDEO_TS_files_fixed.rar I don't seem to have it because I just reliazed my dvd just skipped the whole scene where the falcon is getting pulled into the death star.

Updated my SWR track listing inserts - added single versions for DVD-9/DVD-5 and Purist for those of you that only have one or the other, keep them in separate boxes or just want a single, double-sided sheet instead of the more elaborate foldout version.

I may still change the artwork on the DVD-9...playing with color adjustments...but I wanted to at least get this out there.

Ady, just wanted to let you know that your work continues to enthrall Star Wars fans that aren't a part of this site. I sat down with my friend and scrubbed through the movie to show him the amazing quality of the work, keeping a full screening for a couple weekends from now when I will hopefully have a large Hi-Def screen to play it on.

Yes, that's how excited I am seeing the Executor barrel down on the Tantive at the beginning of the movie. Blows me away! The clarity and color both! Not to mention the engines dying on the Tantive when it gets hit. Can't express enough how much your edit rocks!

Haha. You caught him before I could. The Executor is Vader's SSD. The opening ship in IV is, as far as I know, a normal Star Destroyer. The angle of the shot just makes it look enormous. Which is the beauty of it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but his explanation was for the plain files version, not the ISO which supposedly you could "just use Nero" on (or "just use Imageburn").

If I burn the ISO with imageburn or nero, it's just going to kick out another DVD9 that stutters at the layer change and only plays on my PC, I fear.

What do I do with the Fixed files? adywan just said I shouldn't use Winrar on the ISO image. So how do I use these files? Should I even bother?

I'm still waiting for help on my specific situation...

It's 128 kb, isn't it? Somebody should put it on rapidshare or megaupload. Though I got mine from the torrent (and you can just set the torrent to only download that file).

Yeah I downloaded the ISO from a.b.starwars but I don't think I downloaded the fix and my usenet account has already expired so I have no way to access it. I would be very grateful if somebody upped it to Rapidshare or MegaUpload. SO just

1.Mount the ISO

2.Drag all the files off of the mounted ISO

3.apply the fix

4.the Burn the VIDEO_TS Folder in nero.

Hi, I'm new to the site. After discovering the amazing ANH:R, I knew I had to download this fan-made gem. I am trying to download the DVD-9 version of ANH:R, but being a free user of Rapidshare, downloading the movie is extremely slow and tedious, and now Rapidshare is having all sorts of freezing glitches that make me wait longer to download a file than normal (Rapidshare has been telling me to wait 52 minutes to download a file for over two hours now), and I really don't want to become a premium member of the site. Anyway, I'm interested in getting a copy of ANH:R in the mail. Will this cost me anything? If anyone can help me out, JediChad or whoever else, I'd appreciate it greatly.

Okay... that actually makes sense.

Is there any crazy voodoo I need to do when burning it? Do I need to crank the speed down to 2.4x?

Thank you so much... I may actually be able to make some copies tonight that actually WORK!

A similar thing has happened to me before. I would suggest that you clear your browser's cache. I think that fixed the problem for me.

I've tried clearing the browser's cache, but that didn't change anything.

Rapidshare's really annoying, isn't it?

Just splurge the $7 for 48 hour access and be done with it.  Between cable modem speed and paid users being able to download multiple files at the same time, I got the DVD9 from RapidShare in about 6 hours.

Where are you, Golden Idol? There are PIF chains (you send the disc to three people on condition they pass it on to three people each) in the UK, the USA and Australia at present, and you could hop on one of those.

Egg on my face! LOL! The angle is great though. Thanks for the correction.

Thanks Ziz, I forgot it was already posted there. ;)

I am finally ready to burn the "real thing" at home. Sadly, I basically needed to clear out a few more gigs of space on my drive. I'm actually burning it from the mounted iso (a "virtual" disc drive), so hopefully that will work. Otherwise you need nearly 18 gigs free space (for both the image and the files once you've dragged and fixed them). I feel sorry for all the other newbies who are trying to get this thing burned properly!

torrent ISO, dameon tools, drag, apply fix, burn with Nero! I wish I'd learned that sooner... !

Getting the Purist edition from rapidshare was a pain, but having access to a computer lab sure made it go a lot faster! (since each computer has a unique IP address, meaning you don't have to wait, just go to rapidshare through a different pc!).

Yeah, talk about space.  Thankfully, I had just found an extra hard drive in someone's computer as I was fixing it, and she said I could have it.  My wife hasn't even noticed that I have a copy of every version of ANHR. :-)

the fix was only ever for the problem with burning with imgburn. there were no other problems and the fix needed to only be applied if you wanted to burn with imgburn. The problems people were having with skipping etc were all down to burning / media problems and not the release itself (apart from the unpacked version that was on torrents which had nothing to do with me). If it was down to the iso then no one would have been able to burn successfully without any skipping or freezing upon playback. Use verbatim, burn at 2.4x and the problem is solved ( also certain older versions of nero has problems burning DL correctly). and don't forget that not all players support dual layer medium (recordable media not factory pressed commercial releases). but no none has had any problems with the many NTSC copies i have sent out that were burned using the original iso i posted (pre fix)

I am currently downloading the DVD-9 version at the moment, and I have a couple of questions:

1. I have just finished downloading the 38th part, whose size is 95,371 KB, while files 1 through 37 have a size of 102,400 KB. Is the smaller size of part 38 normal?

2. I'm trying to download part 39, but Rapidshare says:

"Your IP address is already downloading a file. Please wait until the download is completed."

I'm not downloading any other files while downloading part 39 of the movie. What's going on?
