Im at 64%.....running a bit slow and had to shut down a couple of times but past the half way point. I did have a sneeky peek at it.....quality looks great from what I have seen. Should be finished by the time I get back in from work tomorrow. Will continue to seed it as long as I can.

Tomorrow night is Highlander 2 night at my place. I will review afterwards.

Hope Im not being too forward but any news on the other 2 versions yet?

Huzzah! I'm going out to buy some more blank dvdrs at this moment but I can't wait to eat some cake & enjoy this puppy. Kudos to the creators yet again and best of luck finishing up the Extended version.

There seems to be a bit of confusion over at fanedit.org. The description states it is the one with the fairytale ending. The fans over at Highlander bulletin board are puzzled.

im about 25mins off the finale on the SZE so when ive watched it i'll post which ending it is, unless someone gets there before me

It is the one without the fairytale ending, as has been stated before. The fanedit.org description says it has it but that is incorrect.

hehe beat me to it yeah it ends with them kissing after blowing up the shield.

EDIT: Just wanted to say what a great job you guys did with this!! i thoroughly enjoyed all the extra scenes and the new sfx (i never saw the special renegade edition). one thing i was wondering is are you guys planning to do a, i spose, you'd call it the extended special renegade edition. basically it retains all the wonderful stuff that has been done with the zeist version but keeps the change of history from zeist to distant earth past? (i never could get on with the alien idea) and thanks again for doing such a brilliant job with the edit!

Thanks for the positive feedback! We're very happy you enjoyed it!

What you would probably want is the official "Special Edition" release, as it retains the earth's past storyline and has the new FX. Aside from the Zeist references, not that much is missing. The only major deletion is the gunfight when Connor and Louise return to Shield Control.

So as not to get my ass caught in a sling over at HLBB I thought I'd bring the discussion over here about the French laserdisc of Highlander 2: Le Retour. I initially thought this would be the European theatrical cut but re-checking with lddb.com I see the timing is listed as 92 minutes. That is at least about 6 minutes more than the French DVD (which uses the US theatrical cut) but I don't see that as any real proof of this having the fairytale ending intact.

Anyone own the French laserdisc or knows where one can locate it? Since it is listed as being 2.35:1 on the laserdisc it should be easy to lift the fairytale ending off of that one (If if it is on it that is) and make a proper version in the correct aspect ratio.

Even one who has seen the French VHS release from Delta could give us a hint if that scene is in that version. Any release from TF1 is of no interest since that one definitely doesn't have it.

I have now seen it!!!!!!

Firstly I would like to say well done to all involved. This is an awesome job done here. The quality is superb and you should all be proud of your hard work. I, for one, thank you for all your time and efforts in improving this movie.

I did notice some missing shots but im not going to go into that now as i dont want to spoil this positive post and they may appear in one of the other versions on the way.

This is the first "fan edit" i have seen and i am truly impressed with the quality and the effort put in.

Thanks again to all involved. Look forward to the other versions.

Thanks for all the good props guys!!! I know Phineasbg and I are happy with this cut of the Special Zeist Edition.

We don;t even have a cover for the Special Zeist Edition DVD, lol!!! apologize for this and will try and find someone to creat one!!

As for the much talked about Fairytale, I believe a link to that part is on youtube.com, I believe it was also linked in this thread earlier.
