Here's how I'd set it up: when somebody signs the petition, they could have a few 'additional level of commitment' options, inluding their intent not to see Ep. 3 theatrically, not to purchase the SE-only DVDs, and for the truly hardcore, their intent to withold any monetary support from all Lucas-related endeavors (possibly including all films created with the help of ILM and/or Skywalker Sound) until the OT DVD is announced. Then, when somebody goes to the petition stat page, they can see not only the overall number of signers, but also how many have signed up for each 'additional commitment' option. Of course, it'd be something of a problem introducing these options this late in the game, particularly in terms of allowing those who have already signed the main petition to sign on as boycotters.

Great idea, LordPerrinOfNeomega! I made a list of additional optional commitments:

15. I will tatoo my *** with a following text : Lucas! We want OT on DVD now!
16. I will start a hunger strike until OT gets released on DVD (and I'm not afraid of dying from that).
17. I will set myself on fire as a protest.
18. I will set other people on fire as a sign of protest.
19. I will set my home on fire as a sign of protest
20. I will set Lucas's Ranch on fire as a sign of protest.
21. I will destroy a town somewhere in the Persian Gulf as a sign of protest.
22. I will live in celibate as long as it takes Lucas to release OT on DVD.

I saw the original theatrical release of the Old Trilogy on the big screen and I'm proud of it...
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...
