Copyright law should be abolished, along with private property, all other laws, and the state in toto.
Copyright law shouldn’t be abolished; the creator(s) of an IP should be able to capitalize off their work. But after a reasonable amount of time — thirty years max — those copyrights should automatically expire and those IPs fall into the public domain.
Imagine if ANH fell out of copyright in 2007, ESB in 2010, ROTJ in 2013. Don’t know how good that would’ve been.
