Yes but the problem is people quote Leviticus often from a wonky translation and use it as an excuse for violence because it's supposed to be the word of God.

When some kids claim Slenderman made them do something horrid it's hard to see how they wouldn't have done something horrid in the name of anything because he is clearly not standing right behind you while you are reading this.

All joking aside, what is Slenderman's stance on gay marriage?

This whole discussion is making me want to own a Bible annotated by liberal/non-inerrantist Christians.

A Bible. A Founding Father. A Fanedit.

A Bible edited into reflecting a Deist worldview wasn't precisely what I had in mind.

 But it sure is cool.

This is the most interesting factoid I've been recently introduced to.

I wonder how much sense it makes boiled down to a 46 page manifesto?

It seems more exciting than his airplane or starship.

That is absolutely disgusting. How is it possible for people to treat their own son that way and be so incredibly ignorant as to think that being gay is a choice? I guess that family missed the part in the Bible where Jesus didn't hang out with people he thought were perfect?

Three disgraces in that room, and none of them the young man holding the phone.  I believe in the Word of God too, and I don't believe it condones any such behavior, and I believe those who interpret it that way don't understand its meaning.

So is this the thread where I can post how I identify and have everyone tell me it’s not a real thing and I’m just trying to be a millennial “snowflake?”

Because there’s only one person who I’ve told that hasn’t had that reaction…

Well I wouldn’t say that, but I’m (debateably?) post-millenial so idk how much that counts.

Trying to be? If you choose to identify as any kind of snowflake I won’t question it. Although I am unusually enlightened.

And hello coffee!

The blue elephant in the room.

Oh, I wasn’t trying to say that’s what you were doing at all. I was trying to be light and flippant but it may not have come across that way.

But since I brought it up, I’m demisexual.

I was disappointed to click on the link and not get a picture of Demi Moore or Demi Lovato.

Bet you’ve never heard that one before.

It’s not weird at all, I’m the same way.
