These sanctions originated in the Treasury Department. Presumably an economic advisor may be a White House political contact with Treasury, but with the freedom to give statements that conflict with Department positions and records.

But frankly I’m not sure the concept of bailiwicks really applies to this administration. Doesn’t Jared handle all diplomatic issues with something like a third of the planet?

I hate cops. This story isn’t even news, it’s just what we have to expect in this country.

Maybe I shouldn’t say that I “hate” cops, but I definitely hate all of the cops that not only do shit like this, but also those that defend this shit. The cops that aren’t offended by this behavior are as dangerous and evil as the murderous cops in my opinion.

The more I think about this, the more my heart hurts for this family. Killed by a police officer, who is apparently protected by the rest of the Justice Department, simply for backing a vehicle into the driveway after opening the garage door.

It hurts me so much to think what this father must be feeling, and how empty anything that can be done must be.

It is horrible, but what everybody needs to remember when we read this is that this family isn’t suffering alone. Police murder unarmed people each week in this country. Until we deal with our corrupt and vicious police forces, this will never stop happening.

I don’t understand how anyone can say, with a straight face, that we should automatically respect someone just because they’re a cop. If anything, it should be the opposite.

Yeah, Trump is the least popular president (with the exception of Bush’s final year) in recent memory, but his fans are more devoted than any supporters that a President has ever had possibly in this nation’s history. It’s revolting.
