People here tend to be passionate about Star Wars (which I think makes sense, considering). So I’d say it’s normal for people to be especially fierce in their opinions for a new Star Wars movie.
I don’t claim to be a perfect person nor a perfect debater. Like I said, I’m snarky, and I get extra snarky when people purposefully misrepresent what’s being argued.

Well if you want to pass up on a good pizza, that’s your loss.
You could always go with my idea and put a cheeseburger between two slices of pizza. That way you could break the spirit of the law if not the letter.

Unpopular opinion:
Poe’s ‘Yo Mama’ joke is fine and perfectly fits his character.
Agreed. I just think it doesn’t suit the moment and it makes Hux look like an incompetent idiot.
I enjoy Hux acting like a buffoon. Makes him less of a Tarkin-archetype like he was in the first movie.
If you guys didn’t notice, after Kylo Ren assumes the role of Supreme Leader, Hux becomes the voice of reason by telling him to ignore Luke and focus on wiping out what remains of the Resistance but it’s all for nothing as Ren is hell bent on getting even with his former master, and in the end Hux is clearly bitter about the FO being ruled by an hothead like Kylo Ren.
I’m excited to see what Hux does in 9. I actually don’t know if he’s gonna die or not.
Hux might have been too scared of Snoke to rebel against the way he was treated, but with Kylo it might be a different tune.
Where were you in '77?
Hux clearly feared and respected Snoke, and it’s made clear from the start that he dislikes Ren with whom he has a bitter rivalry of sorts, which makes sense because Hux believes in discipline and wishes to impose order in the Galaxy, whilst Ren is a chaotic individual who frequently acts on impulse. I must say it would be pretty nice if the story of their conflicting personalities came to a head in episode IX, but I’m not holding my breath with Abrams back in the director’s chair.
It would be weird if that didn’t come to a head. Abrams himself established that friction between them right out of the gate.
