I’m going to go on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and scream at the animatronics like I have schizophrenia. It’s my form of protest.

Don’t forget to make a video of it. And also to film vertically.

Actually you shouldn’t film vertically. it might seem easier to hold your phone that way, but it is actually quite annoying to watch things that were filmed that way. There is a thing referred to as Vertical Video Syndrome and i fear you have it.

=p

I think you knew I was being non-serious, but answered as though I was.

I’m happy he did, because that video is great.

Oh, I see how it is! When I post the video in response to something, nobody bats an eye, but when “That’s a lotta” Dahmage posts it, it’s the best thing since Bread was a good time for me! 😉

what?

It’s joke.

It doesn’t matter if you liked it or not. I’m kinda hot and cold with it, but I’m not pretending the stuff I didn’t like is the product of corporate boardroom calculations.

nor am I. Like I said, I don’t know who is calling the shots. But the boardroom is either making the decisions or hired those that are, so they are somewhat responsible.

Yes but there’s a massive difference between hiring filmmakers and demanding what the filmmakers do.

I agree.

For the record, I liked Rogue One.

As did I, though I view it as a really great fan-film more than anything else. It needed better character development to make it a truly great film worthy of sitting alongside SW & TESB.

I have found that my opinion of the characters has improved on each viewing.

My main complaint is that they shouldn’t have had cgi Peter Cushing so blatant and in your face. It just doesn’t look that good. He could have still been in the film. Camera angles where he isn’t front and center, facing away or even just to the side would have probably been okay also.

I didn’t love how it looked but I love Tarkin and I liked him as a character in R1 so I forgave the look. And IMO it looks better on Blu (probably because he’s not eighty feet tall).

Anyway what was this thread about again?

I still watch on a screen the size of a wall so that doesn’t help me much. I mean as a technical achievement it’s amazing. But that’s about it.

I do love the character though and I love him in this movie even, I just wished that they would have been more subtle with the camera angles. To help sell it they could even have shots of his face where he isn’t speaking as that’s when it really looks weird, when still it looked okay.

Isn’t this the thread about how Johnny Depp should always be in amusement park rides?
