A video from a channel called “Geeks and Gamers” is not terribly inviting (which is to say nothing about the video’s title).

Not sure of the relevance. The guy has some good commentary on TLJ and the current state of affairs at Lucasfilm.

Couldn’t make it past 25 seconds mate

😮

Why not?

Firstly, the title of the youtube video: ‘The More Rian Johnson Talks, The Worse He Makes Things’ - not a good start.

Secondly, the opening 25 seconds: ‘… that just kind of gives more proof that this man [Rian Johnson] has no idea how to honour Star Wars whatsoever. So let’s jump right into it - this is from EntertainmentWeeklydotcom…’

I’m not going to waste my time watching a video like that - based on article which I’ve already read, where balance and insight are already in short supply (I am referring to the video, the EW article was just fine) - it’s just not something that I’d enjoy, or want to watch.

Fair play to you if that’s your thing and you enjoy it. Nice one.

Digital release in one week! Can’t wait to see that documentary!

It’s already coming out?

Digital release on 3/13, blu-ray on 3/27. There is a feature length documentary in the special features that I am very much looking forward to. Supposedly lots of other content as well.

Are all these youtube critics making money off this sort of thing? If so, maybe we should start making our own TLJ sucks Bantha balls! type videos and fund the projects around here. 😛

There’s half a good idea in that!

I think the youtube critics are the same people who click on the “hot singles in your area” ads…

It seems like people are really embracing the new characters. In fact, the big question people ask me now about Star Wars is, “Are Finn and Poe gay lovers?” And really how the f*ck would I know? My second husband left me for a man, so my gaydar isn’t exactly what you’d call Death Star level quality. ----Carrie Fisher

So what you’re saying is…

That’s how we’re gonna win. Not fighting what we hate, saving what we love…

😉 😃

We certainly seem to have enough resolute folks to achieve this if the TLJ threads are anything to go by.

There you go lads & ladesses - $100k is the goal. Good luck. Let the hate flow through you… (and the click-bait too)

As soon as I win $100 million on the lottery, that’s as good as yours.

Interesting idea! Not sure what we could talk about to fill up a minimum amount of time every week.

I was thinking the other day Frink should record some commentary tracks for his prequel trilogy when ROTR is finished.

Of course whenever there was a big announcement, the show would be dominated by talk regarding that, but most of the time news and rumors would only be a small segment. There could be other segments such as answering email, trivia, contests, interviews, reviews of Star Wars merchandise, and others.

A great idea would be debates. Not arguing matches, but civilized debates of the very things talked about in these forums. People would get into that.

Another one could be a Star Wars based quiz show where people face off answering obscure questions that only the die hard fans would know. That could be very entertaining.

I’ve had that thought several times. I need our resident podcast expert 005 to join me though.

As one who really liked TLJ, I am excited to see what bonus features are included.

Director Rian Johnson takes fans on an intimate journey into the creation of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in a feature-length documentary, explaining his unique interpretation of the Force, detailing the painstaking process of creating Snoke, and deconstructing action-packed scenes from the film such as the epic space battle and the final confrontation. Johnson also reveals two exclusive scenes, featuring Andy Serkis as Snoke prior to his digital makeover, as well as 14 never-before-seen deleted scenes, in addition to his audio commentary.

Bonus features include:

The Director and the Jedi – Go deep behind the scenes with writer-director Rian Johnson on an intimate and personal journey through the production of the movie—and experience what it’s like to helm a global franchise and cultural phenomenon.

Balance of the Force – Explore the mythology of the Force and why Rian Johnson chose to interpret its role in such a unique way.

Scene Breakdowns
Lighting the Spark: Creating the Space Battle – Get a close-up look at the epic space battle, from the sounds that help propel the action, through the practical and visual effects, to the characters who bring it all to life.

Snoke and Mirrors – Motion capture and Star Wars collide as the filmmakers take us through the detailed process of creating the movie’s malevolent master villain.

Showdown on Crait – Break down everything that went into creating the stunning world seen in the movie’s final confrontation, including the interplay between real-word locations and visual effects, reimagining the walkers, designing the crystal foxes, and much more.

Andy Serkis Live! (One Night Only) – Writer-director Rian Johnson presents two exclusive sequences from the movie featuring Andy Serkis’ riveting, raw on-set performance before his digital makeover into Snoke.
Deleted Scenes – With an introduction and optional commentary by writer-director Rian Johnson.

Audio Commentary – View the movie with in-depth feature audio commentary by writer-director Rian Johnson.

Just now they leaked The Last Jedi’s Blu-Ray on torrent sites. Just like how they leaked TFA in advance. So, what now?

how about not sharing this info

Considering the rules this forum has established in regards to owning the Despecialized Trilogy, I think it’s unwise to encourage this sort of thing.

It still pales compared to Episode III leaking before the movie was in theaters. Of course, we got Backstroke Of The West out of that.

And buy the official release, kids! Or Porgs will eat you in your sleep. 😛

Well you all already know who WON’T be buying a copy of TLJ on BD 😉 I don’t have TFA either, was going to get all 3 together once Ep9 was out but that won’t be happening now…
