Hmm, this just occurred to me as well. If I negated TPM altogether - where would Obi and Ani ever be introduced by their names??? The name Skywalker is first heard 2/3 of the way into Clones, though Kenobi is heard very early on. However, I’m going to be doing a lot of cutting of scenes and dialogue in which their names are heard, so it’d be better to have them already established using TPM material.
What if you never mention the name “Skywalker” in ep 1? He is just referred to as anakin. I remember only Grevious, the kid, and Windu using the name “skywalker” in ROTS, they could be cut or trimmed. Maybe have a Jedi say in passing “master skywalker…” where anakin isn’t there to suggest to viewers that there is a skywalker, but we don’t know who he is. You could then watch the movie in chronological order (cut obi-wan’s mention took of “anakin” in ANH and ESB).
