You really need to stop saying “Rouge,” since I’m pretty sure RO wasn’t about makeup application. You use it repeatedly in your “7-in-1” thread too; drives me bonkers. ☺
(I will say, though, a Vader-centric mashup is in fact one of the best reedit concepts I’ve seen. I’ll look forward to watching it.)
No concern about my Ep2 titling, actually. It’ll have its own opening crawl with Episode II as part of the larger title. I’m also getting keen on having an opening scene, kind of a prologue, between “A long time ago . . .” and the STAR WARS fanfare. I think most, if not all, of these reedits will have that.
What is your plan for ANH and ESB?
For ANH I will–
- start with Rogue One’s super-cool Vader scene as the prologue
- cut the Lars household meal scene and replace it with the deleted scene of Biggs and Luke at Anchorhead (yes, I realize that footage is in poor condition but I simply find it more interesting; it’s similar to how most people prefer the “Donner Cut” of Superman II, despite the fact that previously unused footage isn’t on par with the rest)
- Han shoots first (obviously!!)
- no Jabba
- cut the trash compactor scene (I find it boring now)
- spice up the Obi-Vader duel
And for TESB:
- Leia does NOT smooch Luke in the infirmary
- no space slug; they remain hidden inside the asteroid until the Imperial garbage drop
- slight alterations here and there to make it seem Luke’s on Dagobah for about a year - while the Falcon travels to Bespin at sublight speed over that same length of time
