Whenever a film is made, The names attached to any production give it a bankability.

South Korean films and Bollywood films in no way have the same amount of budget as Hollywood. So in terms of their financers they may only get a small pool of interested actors and the budgets that coincide with this. Hollywood has huge bankable names and is far more diverse than many other film industries in other cohntries particularly because they export their films world wide all the time.

Whilst people are complaining Hollywood should diversify further and i don’t have an issue if they chose to do so. The people complaining about diversifying are not the ones putting their money on the line, or taking a gamble with further diversity and perhaps less bankable names and smaller budgets. This could have a positive effect hollywood having to cope with much smaller budgets rather than overblown huge expensive big name productions. But it is all banking on the blockbusters these days.

So the people complainging have to ask themselves what they want. Big budget, big name productions or greater risk lower budget productions although they may still exceed budgets in Bollywood or South Korea. But also are the studios willing to take the risk too?

Perhaps foriegn film industries yearn for western actors in their films but simply can not afford the price tag attached to them?

Top tier actors and actresses would also have a dimished income if they were used less frequently. Basically. Hollywood actors and actresses would be taking a big hit and this would cause a scadal.

When ever you hear an actor or an actress is attached to a production. That means it has been regarded bankable and has a profit expectation on the name attached.

Something else that i have been thinking about as there are loads of terrific actors and actresses but their ability to act is being restricted by political correctness so you are not getting the same sort of performances as you once did in the blockbusters. So the performances have become restrained also compared with an older mindset.

I would like to add that i am not that keen on Bollywood it’s not my thing but I adore South Korean cinema and when I watch South Kordan films i don’t care that it has no white people or black people or how many women it has in it. I just enjoy the story for what it is.
