Yeah, we need some OT merchandising after all these years. I don’t even have a moderator hat. 😉

Has anyone checked out the Hallmark ornaments this year? Saw the Death Star one the other day, and was sorely tempted to buy it. Who wouldn’t want a Imperial battle station blowing up the other ornaments on their Christmas tree?

I only ever moderate wearing the full uniform (with spare ban-hammer on charge) - and Flash theme playing in the background…

It is not easy to clean I tell you…

One I did earlier…

(or just with the originaltrilogy.com logo on - probably would be better)

I wouldn’t allow any site merchandise if I were you. Profiting off of other company’s brands is very dicy legally and is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I see these tv commercials for some company that makes logo/team shirts all the time. The classic OT logo might run afoul of copyrights though.

I like that second design too. : )

We wouldn’t be selling them. Maybe if everybody chips in a buck for a limited run that covers costs? I’ve seen oodles of shirts at conventions over the years that are definitely not licensed. Even more on Ebay.

Note to self. Must buy a I survived a Mok Concert t shirt.

Aye mate - sites like HelloGreedo have their own store https://www.teepublic.com/user/hellogreedo - and seems that teepublic site, and others like them, make t-shirts on a ‘made-to-order’ basis now too. It also has some decent SW t-shirts on there on general sale too.

(A bit different to days of old where someone would have to pay set-up fees, screen-print costs, and deposit down or buy a minimum of 50 t-shirts beforehand etc)

I’m not saying we should have our own store - yet there are possibilities out there…

I learned something about myself today. Something that will change the rest of my life from this day forward.

I’m a Star War!

Yes, I have that set. There were only four discs from the SE so that was good.
A couple of discs eluded me so I had to send away to a classified ad to get them.
The easiest way to complete the set was by buying a multi pack of crisps as they used to chuck about five discs in the bottom of the pack.

Yeah, I enjoyed the film the first time. I really enjoyed the film the second time.
Maybe because I could relax more, take in what was going on as I knew what was coming.

There were always a lot of terrible CGI Jabba ones. You had to buy Doritos to get certain ones I recall. I have no idea where the damn things are, lost to the ages.

My binder is in the dusty Jedi Archives somewhere as well !

There’s a show on Netflix called The Toys That Made Us and part one is Star Wars if anyone is interested. A lot of stuff people will know about and plenty of gaps in less than an hour running time, but plenty of interviews etc.

One of my gifts today was the second trade volume of the original Marvel comics, and included is a story from the UK weekly series that was never printed in the US. It takes place immediately after the original movie, and shows Leia giving Chewie his medal later in the ceremony. I’m happy.

Could you refresh my memory on the title of that story? It might have seen print outside the regular Marvel run. I know Way Of The Wookiee made it into paperback form in the U.S., a curious choice for Marvel’s biggest licensed title at the time.

It’s The Day After the Death Star.

No spoilers here but, TLJ is a movie you have to watch 2 times to truly get immersed into it.

That has been the way for all the Star Wars movies for me. The first time I’m trying to take it all in and follow the plot, the second time I can enjoy the details.

It seems like people are really embracing the new characters. In fact, the big question people ask me now about Star Wars is, “Are Finn and Poe gay lovers?” And really how the f*ck would I know? My second husband left me for a man, so my gaydar isn’t exactly what you’d call Death Star level quality. ----Carrie Fisher

(Many people on this forum has recommended against me reading 'Vector Prime", but to be honest, the more weird stuff I hear about it, the more I want to read it.)

I’m just curious, which omnibus includes the UK stories? I bought this one a few years back, which at the time was the only place you could get those stories. Are they now included in the “Original Marvel Years” books?
