Other than maybe pushing the door button with the force, I don’t see what Luke is neglecting to do in the rancor scene.
Is he supposed to fry it with lightning? Choke it to death? Bring the roof down on it? I think it’s easy to believe Luke was doing everything he could and just isn’t powerful enough to do any of those things.

The things is, Luke probably could’ve done these things - but showing too much power would diminish Jabba’s hold and confidence over his prisoners and employees - causing fear and chaos, forcing Jabba to defend for himself - killing Luke and his friends with everything in his might. I thought this was obvious.

Example would be if a guy is saving his friends with a backup-plan in mind, and only bring a pistol with him to a meeting, the people would take away the pistol with simple violence if necessary. If he brought five grenades and a bazooka, all the people would be at danger, panic would arose he would be shot at first sight at saving his friends with these weapons.

It makes sense for him to be humble, and pretend to be overconfident for his plan later to work.

If Luke started crashing down floors and choking a damn Balrog of Morgoth people would fucking run for their life’s, and Jabba shit himself trying to burn him down before it was too late.

You guys overthink (or under think) way too much. It can’t be good for your viewing pleasures.
