I didn't really want to expleen myself. Sorry.

Also - Thanks to Adywan for his amazing original restoration. While this MKV is an unofficial release of mine to showcase the Cinema DTS, nothing of Ady's has been reencoded - They are all direct stream copies of his original release.

The Edge is Quake 2 map Q2DM1. One of the biggest Quake 2 communities is Tastyspleen, which sounds similar to.....

Someone uploaded this to the spleen, but it isn’t clear yet if it includes the fixed 5.1 LD audio track. Is there a way for me to check the file to figure this out? I am guess not, but wanted to ask since i like being proven wrong in cases like this. checksums of the files would help, looking back in time i wish all releases included them.

Future me knows that this is the Fixed audio version.

I humbly suggest you download the 5.1 track from my LD audio archive as a replacement. It’s fully synchronized and it hasn’t been re-encoded, as adywan’s original was.

Do you mean original as in adywan’s ISO, or as in his Fixed audio patch as well? Just confused as it sounds like you are saying the fixed audio is still subpar.

Yes, they were both decoded to wav, synchronized, then re-encoded to ac3, which is a lossy process. My version was synchronized using an alternate method, and has not been re-encoded. It is bit-identical to what is on the LD, with the exception of less than .1 seconds at the two LD side changes.
