My head actually hurts reading the last few pages.
Is it too much to ask that members think and then explain their opinions and thoughts… instead of seemingly posting whatever first comes to mind for the rest of us to suffer?
I suggest we leave it there and get back onto politics again.
I know that I’m going to be disrespecting a moderator and will probably be disciplined for it, but I have to say this.
This is what people have doing with discussions about women’s issues for decades. “Could we just move on to something else?” This is the attitude that caused all the cover-ups of sexual harassment. It’s a kind of erasure. No, we cannot move on. This is important stuff, and people need to realize it. It’s an especially privileged position to take. People need to realize the nature of our society and our culture. While I have found this discussion inane, it’s still important. I just hope after enough times, people will finally get it. Maybe I’m a bit too optimistic.

However, if you’re going to put words in my mouth and 2nd guess my request, thoughts and attitude… then we will have a problem.
