But the English track from the French Blu-ray is really shitty, as there are several moments when the audio is (conspicuously) not perfectly synched to the picture… And I forgot that is was in 50p…

In case it may help anyone:
The version of “Beyond Westworld” which I acquired has both a pilot episode (395MB) and an episode 1 (303MB). I was not sure whether there’s a difference between them, so I checked. To do so, I watched them both side-to-side, with one of them muted.
They are virtually identical and contain exactly the same scenes. There are some minuscule editing/quality differences, with the most major one (and perhaps the only noticeable one) being that in the former, all red alert scenes have the entire screen tinted with a red hue (which I found rather amusing).
Curiously, this IMDb link talks about a two-hour pilot which I’ve never heard of, so I’m still not sure whether I’ve missed out on some scenes or not. (The pilot I watched was about 48 minutes.)

I just checked my original downloaded copy against my DVD of the series, and you’re absolutely right about the red tint! Glad I didn’t delete the downloaded copy.

Interesting…if this is true, I would love to get my hands on that two-hour pilot.

I just bought the US release and suddenly realized every video release is a stereo or surround mix. Was this ever released as stereo originally as I presumed it was a mono film.
