Literally one of the first things Disney said upon acquiring Lucasfilm just over five years ago was that the Star Wars universe has “over 25,000 years of history.”
This would only lend more credence to someone’s theory upthread about Rian’s trilogy being about the origins of the Jedi, which is pretty much exactly what I’ve been wanting them to do.
Everything must be explained. Nothing can be left up to the individual’s imagination. And it’s all canon, CANON, CANON.
If this trilogy has anything to do with the origins of the Jedi/Sith, I’m out. I’m sick of this crap.
Now that I think about it, they did say it would be an “unexplored corner” of the galaxy. That implies an unfamiliar location more than it does an unfamiliar time. So maybe I’m wrong and this will be set within the timeline of I-IX.
I wonder when we’ll see the first major project from the Nu-LFL to venture outside of the main era.
Are they still making those Old Republic games? They were never explicitly carried over into the new continuity like I-VI and TCW, but I seem to recall the most recent one coming out either right before or right after the Disney deal happened.
