I have a little “philosophical” question. What would you consider to be “restored original” version?
In other words, what is OK and what isn’t.
- In the early episodes every episode had different opening credits. This was changed for the syndicated versions, every episode has the same opening credits. These “new” opening credits are on the Blu-ray set, the DVD set has the “old” credits. Is it worth changing?
- in many, and I mean MANY Enterprise shots thanks to the blue spill problem some parts of the ship get transparent. Should it be fixed (at least in the cases for which we have the original blue screen shots)?
- some of the wrong effects were fixed in the syndication version - good example is The Naked Time, the shots of the planet. Should it be “fixed” to the “unfixed” version?
I say restore.
