Orville has been feeling more cheap and cheap to me, and McGuy is getting on my nerves.

i watched ep 3 of discovery and was like, hey i think i am starting to like this, then more Klingons showed up in ep4 and i was a little disappointed. But, it did finally become interesting to me. They really did a poor job of starting the series off though.

I’m not too hung up on it, but the new ones look a lot worse than the old ones. They look really lame and so ugly that there’s little human qualities in them.

The face prosthetics are terrible

This isn’t gonna become another “this (woman) isn’t a Doctor Who, this (man) is a Doctor Who” thing is it?

I’ve got no problems with them reimagining the design, I just think it looks pretty poor.

The Klingons look fine.

Besides, even Worf’s cranial ridges changed during TNG itself.

It’s not just his hair. The grooves round the center ridges are much more pronounced later in the series, as well as being wider and slightly less elongated.

Take it to the Missed the Joke thread.

Makeup tweaks over the course of seven seasons is to be expected. Even Spock’s look changed between two pilots and the series proper.

Also, the Cardassians’ looked changed from the episode they were introduced, as well as the Trill.

Yeah, I’m fine with changes I just don’t like the looks of these new Klingons. It’s the design, not the change itself.

I sort of liked the body armor type suits they wore in their first TNG appearance. I’d bet they weren’t much fun for the actors to wear.

The headgear bordered on goofy looking though.

Be honest. It’s the fact that the Klingon women don’t have boob windows in their uniforms anymore, right?

I used to see that referred to as Kleavage. 😉

Lursa and B’etor were good villains. Pity they were kind of wasted and wasted in Generations.

Star Trek Generations is easily my least watched piece of Star Trek media. I’ve only seen it once.

EDIT: Not counting Discovery, I haven’t gotten around to that one just yet.

Okay so we have finally got our non-space jelly fish gays on a Star Trek show and they really are going for the sassy stereotype. Not that sassy gays don’t exist but jeewiz really? Is this what we waited all these decades for? It’s not quite getting Stepin Fetchit to play Sisko but it is flamboyantly going.
