Anakin was Obi-Wan’s padawan. It’s natural that he would be younger than him, and not necessarily his “contemporary.”
You could argue that decades of using the dark side and feeling the full force of the Emperor’s lighting accounted for Anakin looking old under the mask. The emperor looks over 100. Just use stock footage of Prowse at the right age as a ghost.
