Yeah but you’re still complaining.
I’m a white male so it is very difficult to plant myself fully in someone different’s shoes, but I’ll try. If I were black, I’d probably be tired of all the white characters. If I were female, I’d probably be tired of all the male characters. And if I were a black female, I’d probably be tired of both.
It’s called sympathy. I try to have some.
Just because I complain about the changing of gender of character that hasn’t changed gender in over 50 years, does not mean I am unsympathetic to the years of sexism and racist that women and minorities have had to endure. But that doesn’t mean I have to approve of all the ridiculousness that extremists do.
If I read that correctly, you’re saying people who want more women/minorities in media are extremists.
