I’m a white male so it is very difficult to plant myself fully in someone different’s shoes, but I’ll try. If I were black, I’d probably be tired of all the white characters. If I were female, I’d probably be tired of all the male characters. And if I were a black female, I’d probably be tired of both.
It’s called sympathy. I try to have some. Bitching about political correctness, especially as with something as trivial as a TV show, is the opposite of sympathy.
Then it stands that the only way to make every group happy, would have been to make the next Doctor female, gay, transgender, and part every other race but white.
You’re being purposefully difficult.
