Being able to watch a movie in black-and-white is no mark of bad taste in films. Quite the contrary.
What would you say about people who watched movies that are… can you imagine it… silent?
The people who really like the Prequels are also ones who wouldn’t watch a movie because it was in monochrome is what I think he meant.
I love silent movies. Metropolis, Nosferatu, Modern Times, Caligari, Broken Blossoms, the Toll of the Sea, Phantom of the Opera, the list goes on and on.
