Nope. A supposedly strong character dying because of a broken heart (especially immediately after having two babies to care for) is possibly the dumbest thing in the eight movies so far.
Change the droid’s line to “there have been complications and we can’t save her” or something like that. I tend to like the prequels, even with their many problems, but that one has always bothered me about ROTS. I’ll see if I can fix it when I finally get around to my fan edit. My two big problems with AOTC are that you don’t get any sense of Obi-wan and Anakin being buddies (Anakin is almost done with the Padawan phase so some hint of what we see at the beginning of ROTS should already be there) and C-3PO’s role in the droid factory. I liked the theatrical TPM, so my ideal edit would be along those lines but with CG Yodo (the puppet is the single least believable alien to get any major screen time).
