^Rises is just a poorly written film. And dumb things happening doesn’t make it a comic book. I’m talking about style. Making a world that feels like it jumped right off the pages. Giving Batman suits and gadgets that feel like comic art moving on the screen.

I think a wonderful example of what I mean is the Batmobile. Take the Tumbler and compare it to the '89 and '66 Batmobiles. The Tumbler just isn’t the batmobile. It looks like some sort of real world military equipment, not a stylized high tech supercar from a comic book.

And given that example, I do realize that in the original comic run Batman just had a regular car, but even then it didn’t take that long to get a little superhero style.
