I’m aware that pcm is lossless but 5.1 pcm is huge overkill. 640 kbps ac3 is enough for a movie I think. Music is the only time lossless matters to me.
Audio is Audio my friend. My theater speaker setup is high end and believe me I can here the difference with double encoded Dolby Digital.
