Has anyone tried to use movies like Cloverfield etc to build the missing ‘alien squid’ subplot.
It seemed odd to me to so slavishly copy all the rest of the book (in the original cut) and then leave that out when it was largely the point of the piece.
Artificially generated terror becoming the benevolent tyrant.
I am surprised nobody tried to do the giant alien squid either!
I thought Monsters (Gareth Edwards) might work?
