Does your HDTV rip suffer from time compressed/truncated credits?
The one I got from rutracker does not. It’s literally like watching an HD version of the 2005 PAL DVD (I assume anyway, never actually owned the 2005 DVD’s of either film).

Yes, the “network premiere” (ITV, 7:30pm Boxing Day 1987) used the TV “Wally Wick” version.
I remember seeing it again a few years later, post-watershed, and it was the uncut “dickless” version.
Thanks, I thought it was because I vaguely remembered it being listed in the Xmas 1987 TVTimes as “TV version.” Speaking of which, there it is, in the top left hand corner:
On a related note, the Freeview EPG used to warn you if a film had been “edited for content” but that no longer appears to happen and you have to buy the Radio Times for that information.
