Spider Baby (1967) - Solid black horror/comedy. Nice writing, interesting characters, fun movie all around.
No Country for Old Men (2007) - Loved the lack of dialog and thought the scenes between Brolin and Bardem were incredible but I’m not sure if the film landed thematically. It seemed like they were going for a Wild Bunch esque “too old for this; life is passing me by” sort of deal but it never really clicked with me. Regardless the cat and mouse game was riveting.
