The 2 inch videotape I believe was transferred from the 16mm pan-and-scan/standard master print of the TV cut prepared for worldwide television release.
Oh OK. I wonder what the source for the deleted scenes on the bluray was? All of the footage is cut exactly as it is on the TV version but in widescreen. I assumed there would be a tape of the International Version in the archives that had the full aspect ratio. Do you think that Stuart Baird perhaps edited these scenes prior to them switching focus to Superman 1, and they were then thrown in to the TV version in the state they were left?
