Star Wars Rogue One: Darth Vader chest plate Project announcement.

With the upcoming release of RO, I have made plans to correct the shots with Vader adding cg lights, and some minor shots with Laser Blasts that were not screen correctly. Overall this project should not take too long. I am still working thru rebels, very tedious so this will be a welcomed break…

List of Changes
Vader: Will restore his chest plate lights (blinking ones) once again to match my IV 1.02 beta that has been floating out there for the last few years… I also plan on darkening his mask eyes once again to match the Original and prequel trilogy’s “III, V-VI”. I understand why Disney did it the way they did because there version was suppose to match how things were bridging RO with epIV from a physical continuity perspective. (But this is a Fan edit, and it needs to match my personal fan edit of IV.

While I am sure there will be a lot of Fan edits and ideas out there, I plan on mainly just releasing my Master MOV Cineform files of the the shots I changed. Those shots should be considered useful for any fan editors out there that want to make changes the pacing of the film, and I know there will be a lot out there.

I will list more changes as I scrub though the film if needed… Any other suggestions can be posted here in this forum and I will take them into consideration…

-Change the Death Star laser to match your ANH edit
-Add Planet Name text to Mustafar
-Integrate Adywan’s version of the DS plan graphic in the shots where it’s shown toward the end

Update:

–All of the Vader shots have added chest plate lights, and his mask eyes have been changed to match my IV 1.4 beta that is floating out there.

–Per SuperSecretMuffin request, I mixed in my death star firing shots from IV 1.4, flipped it and color corrected it to match the color tone of RO. I also reincorporated the original actors who were at the helm of the firing station mixed in both sequences from IV, from Both times the death star fired in RO. I am still playing a little with this because the pacing of RO of when the death star fires is a lot slower than in SW IV.

–HUD corrections. Most of the HUDs that show the death star in RO involve some type of countdown progress of it downloading, I need to spend more time the HUD that Andwan did, as I can not simply take what I did in IV 1.4 and insert it in RO. The Huds will need to be modified in some way to show a progress bar. This will take a little longer than I thought.

Future plans for IV… There is actually a lot of good stuff in RO that could be incorporated in IV, I might revisit it and replace some shots. (such as the Falcon approaching the death star, rebel base ect.)
