Just my additional two cents: I LOVE the cover. I love the spine. I really enjoy the sepia tones of the whole thing. I love the choice of background images on the back. The only thing that stands out to me is the crawl font and the credits font. So, instead of trying to go yellow to match the film, why not just go radically different? I felt the white text of your first example was better to my eye. But find a nice font like Gill Sans (my personal favorite these days).
