As I said earlier, unlike my youngest brother I do not approve of the plethora of memes, photoshop fueled visual puns and puerile humour polluting the internet.I ask again, please keep your posts reasonable in my presence from now on.

I didn’t realize you were a fan of Charlie Chan.
As a child the BBC used to show everything, Silent comedy greats like Chaplin, Keaton and Lloyd, Early serials like Flash Gordon, King of the Rocketmen and Buck Rogers and Charlie Chan, Rathbone Sherlock Holmes, The RKO Saint series, Weissmuller’s Tarzan, Champion the Wonder Horse etc all in marvelous monochrome.
I would have no problem paying for a television license for that sort of material.
They are of their time but Chan in those serials is taken as seriesly as Holmes is in his. His ethnicity is on display but doesn’t impact the integrity of the character. Quite progressive in it’s way.
The pace is slow for modern audiences but I would like a revival of the character as a period piece.
